DURABILITY LIKE NO OTHER… RACK ARMOUR

With pallet racking protection an ever growing market, there is a number of different products for the warehouse manager to choose, But only one can offer the full package of protection. The Rack Armour upright protector.

When pallet racking owners approach Rack Armour after trying other products on the market they almost expect to be replacing the protector on a fairly frequent basis. This is not the case with the Rack Armour upright protector. Guards that were purchased over 10 years ago when we first arrived on the scene are still protecting racking today, they may have lost some of their shine as they take the hits but the cost effective benefits are for everyone to see.

It’s tight fit to the uprights enables the Rack Armour Upright Protection to stay on the racking when placing and retrieving pallets, with no fixtures or fittings it cannot be caught and dragged off, unlike many other guards.

Having no fixtures to the floor also means energy doesn’t transfer to the concrete, causing it to rupture. The Rack Armour upright protector works as a dual system defence. The hard shell exterior is made of ballistics grade polymer. This material and its shape prevent impacts from causing damage. The foam interior cushions any impacts from causing damage, simply absorbing the energy.

Available in three different sizes, the Rack Armour upright protector can fit all makes and models of pallet racking.

WAREHOUSE BARRIERS… ALWAYS RACK ARMOUR

The warehouse barrier is part of an ever growing market in warehouse protection. Metal barriers are no longer the best way of protection, as they often can cause as much damage as if they weren’t protected, after just one impact.

At Rack Armour we have used the success of our upright protector to create a range of warehouse barriers which can stand up to the test of everyday warehouse impacts. Made from a tough HDPE, these barriers are able to take multiple impacts and reform to its original shape. The material benefits include its flexibility when taking impacts. Unlike a metal guard, a Rack Armour barrier won’t damage your truck or your floor; its absorbing qualities will keep you safe. Like our upright protectors, the warehouse barriers will come in the Rack Armour high visibility yellow, great for preventing impacts in the first place.

What different warehouse barriers do Rack Armour offer?

Rack Armour proudly offer three varieties of warehouse barriers. With specifically designed for end of aisle protection.

The two end of aisle barriers are named the Double Rail, and the Single Rail. Both of these start at 1m in length and are available up to 3m. We understand that not every warehouse is the same, and some have different needs to others, hence why we created barriers to suit the needs of our customers.

Rack Armour also offer an alternative to warehouse barrier protection; the floor rail barrier. This has a number of uses such as offering protection to picking areas, as well as being great at the back of racking, where damage often occurs when placing pallets.

If you would like to find out more about protecting your warehouse with our range of barriers please get in touch! Our contact page will lead you straight to us, or feel free to email us at: info@rackarmour.com or give us a call on 01226 784 488. Our team will be more than happy to help!

RACK ARMOUR – DIFFUSING IMPACTS

Rack Armour has been protecting the racking of some of the world’s biggest brands for well over 12 years now. In that time, not much has changed from the original design; a simple HDPE shell paired with a closed cell foam interior.

But why is Rack Armour so popular? What makes it different to the many other plastic products on the market? One main difference is the closed cell foam interior.

So why foam?

The foam inside a Rack Armour unit is what makes the product perform so well when a direct hit is registered. The foam is made up of a dense closed cell polyethylene which renders most large impacts ineffective, in turn reducing rack repair costs significantly.
Other plastic protectors on the market can’t utilise this combination, which gives our product an obvious advantage. Without the foam, any plastic protector is simply only good for deflecting impacts away from the upright.

Rack Armour is now sold in over 80 Countries and manufactured on three continents. If you would like to receive a free sample please do not hesitate to contact us.

Don’t let pedestrian segregation be a barrier to safety.

Pedestrian segregation

Separating machinery, stock, pallet racking and other expensive items from potentially dangerous Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) is vastly important for most businesses. But what is even more important is the segregation of staff, visitors and pedestrians from a potentially life threatening impact from MHE.

That’s why Rack Armour has developed a state of the art barrier system made from high impact resistant HDPE, that can take multiple impacts from MHE, and also segregate and define a clear, simple walk way for users.

We’ve devised a number of variants to our pedestrian barrier system to cater for any requirements. These include additional bumpers for high risk impact areas and a simple cost effective 3 rail system aimed to give pedestrian segregation and define a simple path within a safe area.

For more information on our barrier range and of course our pedestrian segregation range, please click here.
