Overview

Rack Armour® has been the world’s best-selling polymer upright racking protector for over 20 years and is shown, per install, to save tens of thousands of pounds in damage repair costs.

Made from ballistics grade plastic, the Rack Armour® outer shell is shaped to divert impact energy around the rack leg instead of through it. Any remaining impact energy is absorbed by the interior foam until it is diffused. This twin action protection uniquely helps to maintain the structural integrity of the racking system. Rack Armour® cannot be knocked off when brushed by vehicles and with a hi-visibility range of colours, clearly helps identify safe working boundaries for materials handling equipment drivers.

Manufactured from low maintenance High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Rack Armour® guards are durable and extremely effective in preventing damage to racking uprights.

Fully recyclable and non-toxic, it is suitable for use in food production facilities and freezer environments.

Testing

The Rack Armour® upright protector was subject to 1000’s of hours of design and testing before the final model was completed and perfected. The guard has been subject to the most stringent and vigorous of testing to ensure it complies with all European legislation including FEM 10.2.16. https://vimeo.com/116862850 https://vimeo.com/316746623 FEM is the most internationally recognised and one of the most up to date (having been updated in 2001) of all testing standards. Rack Armour® has met and exceeded the requirements of this standard for both front and side impacts, which was certified by experts at an independent industry leading engineering organisation.

Testimonials

"We received many compliments from our auditors and our Plant Manager, we are starting to see savings on our guards maintenance already. Before we had to repair and re-paint often, now the only thing we do is clean the new Rack Armour® guards with a piece of cloth every week! Awesome product, we will keep in contact!" Rocío Ibarra Zazueta, Quality Engineer - BOSE "We had the Rack Armour® system installed during the new build of our 888,000 sq ft distribution centre, the installation was flawless and now after 5 years, it has saved us tens of thousands of pounds in preventing damage to our uprights. Just looking at the Rack Armour® today you can see it has taken a lot of impacts and is still doing its job. We have the lowest racking repair costs in the entire group, and Rack Armour® has saved us tens of thousands of pounds in racking repair costs, so I can easily recommend to anyone that it is a very worthwhile exercise in fitting Rack Armour®."
